Crap, I hate it when I forget to have my glasses ready before I take out my contacts. Now I can hardly see, and I’m searching for my glasses. I’ve been sticking my face really close to anything that appears to be a black wired frame. Which is a lot of things. Dammnit. Someone help me. Grrrrr.

bad english not a turn on

I just got a spam EmailExpress message on ICQ from pr0nographers (they’re like cartographers, but with naked people.) It reads VERBATIM, as follows:

Subject: Pamela

Hi !Do you like enjoy ? Are you 18 older ?

If yuo are then see me in my homepage…..

http://www.xpiks.com/teens

“do you like enjoy”?!? Come on now, what kind of lurid message is this? Is this supposed to entice me? They even spelled “you” incorrectly. I’d go to that website just to see what type of people I’m dealing with, but I’m afraid of porn cookies.

mixup

Today I found out that in my head, I had made Van Morrison, who wrote upbeat songs like Brown-Eyed Girl, and Jim Morrison, dark lead singer of The Doors, into the same person. Whoops. <thanks jenny/kate>

“we tried to get a keg, but dave caught us”

Moik has these aquatic turtles named Stuff and Puff, and he maintains a webpage about them, with pictures, random general turtle info, and a news page. The kicker? Stuff and Puff write the news page “themselves.” heh.

novel idea

Cripes, the web seems to be really really into NaNoWriMo (aka National Novel Writing Month.)

leonid

Hmmm… this Nov 17/18 is going to be the height of this year’s Leonid meteor shower. I think I’m going to grab some friends, and plan a trip to partake in the heaven gazing. It’s supposed to peak at around 4-5am… so it’s going to be an overnighter. Clear your calendars, friends o mine.
